OUR MISSION

Speech and debate empowers students to become confident speakers, critical thinkers, and effective leaders. However, high-quality coaching is often expensive and inaccessible to many students. In many cases, students are unable to receive the guidance they need because their school teams are too large to provide individualized attention, or because their schools lack the resources to support them at the level they want to reach.

At Speechify, our mission is to make speech and debate education available to every student, regardless of financial background. Through free, personalized coaching, workshops, lectures, and resources, we hope to help students strengthen their skills, find their voices, and reach their competitive goals. Speechify is designed to support both serious competitors and students looking to build confidence and skill, because we believe every student deserves access to meaningful coaching and support.

We do this by pairing each student with a coach who fits their event, experience level, and individual needs. Students can schedule sessions at convenient times, work consistently with the same coach, and receive personalized feedback after every meeting. We also provide high-quality workshops and lectures led by accomplished competitors, including national champions and finalists, so students can learn directly from some of the most successful speakers in the activity. Our model makes high-level coaching more accessible without sacrificing quality.

By making coaching flexible, supportive, and easy to access, Speechify gives students the guidance and opportunities they need to improve without creating a financial burden for their families. Speechify truly bridges the gap between potential and opportunity.

OUR HISTORY

Speechify is now a collaboration between Extempify, Interpify, and Congressify, three student-led initiatives created to expand access to free, high-quality speech and debate coaching. What began as several event-specific coaching communities has grown into a broader network of accomplished competitors, dedicated coaches, and educational resources united by one goal: ensuring that every student has the opportunity to improve, compete, and succeed.

By bringing these programs together under one organization, Speechify was created to support students across all speech events. This structure allows us to offer individualized attention that many traditional programs cannot always provide, while still maintaining the quality and selectivity that define our coaching model.
