Who is Speechify for?
Speechify is for students who want to learn Speech and Debate for absolutely free and no required cost.
What makes Speechify different?
The coaches compete now or have very recent national-level experience, which keeps feedback current with the activity’s judging trends, topics, and tournament expectations.
Which events does Speechify offer?
We offer every major Speech event and Congressional Debate. This includes USX, IX, DI, HI, DUO, Impromptu, HI, POI, OO, Info, and more!
How are students matched with coaches?
Students are matched according to their event, skill level, goals, and coaching needs by our directors. We aim to pair each student with a coach who is well suited to help them improve.
How do students meet with their coaches?
Once a student is matched with the best-suited coach, they will receive an email introducing their coach and providing a Calendly link to schedule sessions. Sessions are held virtually through Google Meet, and students and coaches may meet as frequently as their schedules allow.
Do I need previous speech and debate experience?
No. Speechify welcomes complete beginners as well as experienced competitors looking to improve their skills.
Can I become a coach?
At Speechify, we are always looking for talented and accomplished competitors to join our coaching team. If you have competed successfully at the state or national level, we encourage you to apply at tinyurl.com/SpeechifyCoach
